5. Paid Features and Requests
Trip Tailor is a paid app that provides 1000 free AI requests for new users. Once these requests are exhausted, additional requests can be purchased. This policy helps cover costs associated with using the OpenAI assistant. Please refer to OpenAI’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy as these apply to AI‑generated content within the app.
6. User Responsibilities and Data Submission
Users are expected to provide only their email and password, stored securely via Clerk authentication services. All other data is stored locally on users' devices. Users must not misuse or tamper with the app's features.
7. Content Storage and Privacy
All user data, including itineraries, packing lists, and expenses, is stored locally on the user's device, except for login credentials, which are managed by Clerk. The email address is the only publicly stored information, used solely for request monitoring.
8. Intellectual Property and User Content
Trip Tailor does not impose restrictions on how users handle content generated by the app. However, users should not distribute or sell the app’s content in a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitations of Liability
Trip Tailor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. All AI‑generated suggestions, including itinerary planning, destination recommendations, currency conversions, and estimated expenses, are general recommendations that may not be accurate. Users are responsible for verifying information, and we disclaim liability for any inaccuracies or unexpected travel outcomes. Currency exchange rates are provided by ExchangeRate‑API, and we do not guarantee accuracy.
10. Account Management and Termination
User accounts are managed via Clerk, and we reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion if users violate these terms or abuse the app's services. Such actions are rare and will only be exercised if necessary.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of U.S. courts. For users outside the U.S., local laws may apply in addition to these terms.
